MyGen Profile Generator started d.j'ing as a hobby circa 91. had spent teenage years raving it up at the eclipse to sasha, parks and wilson, grooverider etc and was astounded by the whole music scene at that time. it felt soo new and inspirational, like nothing i'd ever experienced b4. it got me hooked into buying vinyl, and then i made d.j'ing my career (cutting a long story short). DJ HEAVEN 1992-2003. residencies included; ministry of sound. frisky (fridays),london, 1996-1999, home, sydney,australia, 1999. limelight. new york, 1999-2001. played all over the world incl. japan, mexico, brazil, s. africa, phillipines, iceland, argentina,.. forget this i'll be here all night if i go on ... anyway, got myself into a hole, (2002) too much partying, playing sets that i wasnt happy with (my tastes had mellowed but the headline sets i was playing demanded something else), was feeling lonely (too many hotel rooms, not enough personal time) and then... got typhoid whilst d'jing in bali (march 2003). came home, thought i had flu. after two weeks of ignoring it (dj lifestyle makes one hardcore.. you know the score!) i found myself in hospital in critical condition, and on isolation ward as its highly contagious and life threatening. got better (clearly) but those few weeks made me (shit scared) reassess. everything. and so went back to uni. am now in 3rd year of psychology degree. and loving it. found (or rediscovered) my mind, my health (to a degree-the party loving monster in me is still alive and well) miss the money, only cos i'm not not used to having to work hard for it , and the fame (hehe, not at all)and of course THE MUSIC LIVES ON. FOREVER, its bigger than me or my life. so there it is. aside from all that. just trying to be happy, make my friends happy, and make sense of this short life we are given before we die!xxxxxxx
