Influenced heavily by reggae, but also borrowing from jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop, Jai Guru has been playing the Montreal scene for the last two years with shows at Sala Rossa, Bar L'Absynthe, and the 2007 Montreal International Reggae Festival, to name a few. Jai Guru is made up of musicians from various local Montreal bands including Papagroove, Dobacaracol, Le Chango Family, and Tomas Jensen, all of whom give Jai Guru their unique grooves. Currently, Jai Guru is arduously working on an album while taking the time to have fun and play some shows (not that recording isn't fun!).
