I am who I am because of those who came before me. I work to ensure a positive legacy for those who come after me. I am the grandson of a sharecropper, and the son of a marine. So hard work is nothing new to me. I have failed many times at many things, but I continue to strive for what I believe and who I believe in. My only defeat will come from giving up, which is against the basic principles of my fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi. Impossible. I will not lose.....My grandmother, who had 16 children(over 100 grands, great grands and great great grands), and is still alive, instilled in her children a sense of spirituality that was passed down from my father and lives in me today. I know that had it not been for her prayers and those of my mother, I would not be here today. It is my endeavor to love and help as many people as I possibly can while I'm here, on this earth. For I know that I can take nothing with me. But I can leave an impeccable impression on as many people as I can, regardless of color, creed, age, or race.
