The last year at home has finally started. I'll be finishing up at the Governor's School for the Arts where I study piano in jazz, then I'm gonna head wherever the most music, money and opportunity is, whether that be LA, NYC, Jersey, or Boston. I'm starting to get really interested in the capacity synthesizers have to change and augment music, in particular what Glasper, Hargrove, and Chick's Elektric Band have done. This year so far has given me unforgettable experiences--I need to give props to Alex Han for hookin me up with that festival in Uruguay, Bob Montgomery for lettin me play in the Telluride Student Allstars this year for the festival's 30th anniversary, and Patrick Bolek for lettin me participate in the 2nd annual Grammy Camp AND especially giving me the opportunity to perform in collaboration with alumni from the '05 Gibson/Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble in front such an audience as Oprah, Trump, George Lopez, Dick van Dyke, and the mayor of LA, as well as sharing the program with Babyface, Dionne Warwick, Eric Benet, Natasha Beddingfield, Josh Groban, and David Foster. And while I'm fillin up space thankin people, don't let me forget Fonballs for keepin some sanity at GSA! We're tearin it down this year bitch!!
