About Me

Born in the city famous for laying the foundation of Hip Hop (Bronx, NY), and raised in Brooklyn. Smoke is the sole representative of a movement that has existed since hip hop began. The movement is called N.E.W.S.Lang (North East West South Language), representing the evolution and revolution of hip hop music. SmokeFire has cultivated his talent of producing and writing since the age of 14. He began his journey with friend/rap partner Donald Owens(R.I.P.1997), Dj Buckwild(R.I.P.1994), and Dj Sizahands to form the trio, the Ruph Headz. (Note: Dj Siza replaced Buckwild after his murder) In 1997, the group would split due to the murder of Donald Owens by NYPD. Mourning the loss of a friend, Smoke went on hiatus from writing to concentrate on producing for different up and coming local artist from the neighborhood. Soon, Smoke would recieve his 1st break as an independent producer. In 1998, Smoke' produced 3 tracks for Boot Camp Clicks' Helta Skelta for the virtually unknown Lp titled 'Magnum Force'. However, only 2 of the songs were released on the lp. 'Gunz n' Onez' featuring Method Man of the Wu-tang clan, and 'da Gangz all Here' featuring Buckshot, Smif n Wesson, OGC, IllaNoize, and other members of the BCC. 'Gunz n' Onez' was also featured on the Wu-Chronicles lp. Today Smoke has made a comeback, this time as an artist featuring on Kelis' latest Lp 'Kelis was here', on the song titled 'Aww Shit'.
