THE HIGH LIFE slated for release early 2007

About Me

Formed in 2001 by Mc Promo, Last One, and Dj Acee, Highrise has been putting out original music for more than half a decade. Beyond the glamour lies something totally untapped by the mainstream.
Miami aint all palm trees buddy. Sorry to break it to you.
Born and raised in the county of dade, where the beers stay full and the girls get played! Coming fall 2006, "The High Life" will set the standard for music in Miami, Fl. Picking off where "The Low Life" left off, get ready for 10+ tracks of grassroots hip hop mixed with that sunshine state swagger. Produced entirely by DJ Acee, "The High Life" departs from the early 90's sample-style hip hop to an equally sharp, more original vibe. The addition of a live band format has provided a new avenue for the band to grow. In the words of Last One, Hang em High!

Radio- Recorded in early 2007. Final version to be featured on The High Life LP.
Dim The Lights-Slated as one of two B sides for the "H.O.E." single, this track is what many refer to as the "liquor talking". Written and produced in Acee's studio in under 3 hours, this is what Mc Promo and Acee sound like in a draft beer induced stupor. Make sure to listen to the Sweet Dreams medley by DJ Acee, which unfortunetly will not be found on the LP due to legal circumstances.
H.O.E.-This Acee produced lead single off "The High Life" LP was almost never released. Started as a simple jam session during Mc Proe and Last's senior year, the guitar and organ sections were actually stored in Acee's vaults for over 2 years. Originally an edgy-political style rant, the chorus was soon reformatted as an all out outcry that any person in a relationship could relate to. Climaxing with a spine chilling Acee saxaphone solo, H.O.E. was the unanymous choice for the first official release off "The High Life" LP.
*Guitars By Max Tau
Take Your Time- Recorded in mid 2005, featured on The Low Life LP. Produced By DJ Sharpsound.

Influences:
Here it is! The infamous, for your ears only debut HighRise release "The Low Life LP". Consisting of 12 tracks, "The Low Life" was released in June 2005. With 1, 000 + copies in circulation right now, it will soon be discontinued so if you have one you better not let your homey borrow it. Praised for it's rugged rhymes and early 90's hip hop style production, it is sure to please for anyone who digs groups like A Tribe Called Quest, Black Star, and Atmosphere. A gift, from us to you...
