LaCosta inizia la sua carriera artistica nel 2001, proponendo un affascinante mix di deep house ed elettronica nella glitter night "Les fmn" presso gli Ex-Magazzini, appuntamento settimanale organizzato da un'Electronique che muoveva i primi passi nell'organizzazione di eventi.
Un percorso, il suo, che lo ha portato a formare un timbro sonoro sempre patinato e di gran qualità .
Una smodata predisposizione verso la ricerca sonora l'ha poi portato, nel corso degli anni, a spostare il baricentro del suo suono verso groove provenienti dal passato, essendo da sempre appassionato di artisti come Gino Soccio, Giorgio Moroder, Claudio Simonetti o gli americani Rinder & Lewis.
Quello che oggi propone, infatti, è un mix di space disco riesumata direttamente dagli anni '80 miscelata con il meglio dell'electro e della techno odierna, dalle sonorità rigorosamente analogiche.
Le sue capacità tecniche gli permettono di esibirsi sia live, con una performance mixata nella quale le varie tracce vengono tagliate e rielaborate per poi essere riassemblate in un mix stratificato ed eclettico, sia dj set di puro vinile, variando la sua selezione dalla moderna nu-disco di Lindstrom e Terje, alla colonna sonora dell'osannato Tenebre!
LaCosta began his artistic career in 2001 at Ex-Magazzini, playing an enchanting mix of deep house and electronic music during the glitter night "Les fmn", weekly event organized by Electronique, which took its first steps in events planning.
His journey led him to create an elegant and high-quality sound.
A great bent for sound research led him, during the years, to shift his sound to grooves from the past, inspired by artists such as Gino Soccio, Giorgio Moroder, Claudio Simonetti and Rinder & Lewis.
Now he plays a mix of 80s space disco and todays best electro and techno, exclusively made by analogic machines.
Thanks to his technical abilities, he alternates live performance, where the tracks were cut and modified to be combined in a stratified and eclectic mix, and vinyl dj sets, playing grooves from the modern Lindstrom and Terje's nu-disco to the acclaimed Tenebre sound track.
