About Me

The President of Haïti from February 7, 1996 until February 7, 2001. Was Prime Minister from February 1991 to September 2, 1993. The only President to serve a full term and live in peace in Haiti afterwards. Was re-elected on February 16, 2006 as a Lespwa candidate. Often call "Prezidan Pep La", the peoples President. Studied agronomy at the College of Gembloux and the University of Louvain in Belgium.

The First Lady of Haiti, Madame Géri Benoît-Préval holds the honorable office of Co-Chair for La Casa de las Americas in Washington® (LACAW), the only one on the First Ladies of the Americas' Board of Advisors. She represents Haiti of course.
