Everyone would describe me as quiet and shy. I hate this label. Its important to have people that don't run off at the mouth all the time. If we didn't have quiet people, who would listen. I will say that I'm not one for small talk. I don't care to chit-chat with you in the elevator about weather. I don't talk just to hear my voice. When I say something its meaningful. I'm a deliberate person. Any decision I make or action I take is well thought out. There aren't many things I don't like but a few are people that are fake, people who think they are better than everyone else, overly friendly people, and brussel sprouts. I enjoy peace and solitude. I love being alone....thats when I see things more clearly. I need a few minutes everyday to myself just to recharge. This doesn't mean I don't like people....there are days that I love to go out with friends and have a drink and talk. I'm a pretty good judge of character....I have an intuition about people. I make friends for life. I like to be silly sometimes...I enjoy making people laugh and I only show that part of myself to close friends. Humour makes life easier.I don't have tunnel vision, I'm open to new ideas and new adventures. I love to travel although I never really go anywhere. I believe in enjoying life, stopping to smell the flowers, and not taking things so seriously. People need to relax and just enjoy living. It bothers me that people are so concerned with materialistic pursuits. You can't take it with you. Whats most important is spending time with those you love. I love my children, although having children is hard work. They make me laugh and then somedays they make me cry. I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'm a compassionate person and I believe in helping those who are less fortunate. If I could I would join the Peace Corps and dedicate my life to those in need....in my opinion that would be a rewarding life. I believe in making a difference. Lastly, I'm a private person...so writing all of this stuff about myself for everyone to read is really hard..........................My favorite poem: After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company isn't security. And you learn to build your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain and the inevitable has a way of crumbling in mid-flight.After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you stand too long in one place.So, you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone else to bring you flowers.
