NEW ALBUM - $13.99!There are just three words to describe contemporary Christian artist Jaime Lee: fresh, honest, and unfettered. She’s not one to sugarcoat…unless it’s with the sweet melodies and lilting harmonies that flow out of her mouth like honey. Her dulcet tones smooth out the rough edges on even the most angst-laden lyric, yet aren’t saccharine enough to overpower the raw emotion and honest truth mixed into each of her songs; like any good dessert, her voice simply leaves you craving more.Jaime is biting into the rich and flavorful Christian music scene with her new 14-song album Release Me, available November 2006 (www.jaimeleemusic.com). Not just your average songs about God, each tune offers a delicious perspective on the emotions and experiences surrounding the search for something more. Co-written with California songwriter Greg Loos and produced by industry veteran Ralph Stover, Release Me gives just a taste of the incredible journey each person makes when they recognize that something is missing from their life. Songs like “Give It All Up†(“I’d laid all of my cards on the table, looking at you with my eyes open wideâ€) and “I’m Still Alive†(“Could you hold me and heal all this pain? There’s so much inside me I can’t explainâ€) are filled with seeker undertones, but the title track, penned by Jaime herself, exposes a truth acutely familiar to all of us whose past holds us captive: “…regrets confine me to this place…. and it’s hard to believe that [God has] forgiven my mistakes.â€In March 2006, Jaime’s debut single “Lullaby†was chosen as a finalist in the STARFISH contest held by KFSH 95.9 Los Angeles, where she finished as the runner-up to Orange County-based Godspeed and their song "3rd Heaven." Receiving airplay on the station over the course of the contest, Jaime garnered votes from thousands of enthusiastic listeners. There were only five finalists chosen out of several hundred entrants, and the Grand Prize was a performance on stage at FISHFEST, a concert for 12,000 fans at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. The FISH listener feedback on "Lullaby" was extremely positive and Jaime was excited to be a finalist in such a major-market competition.Her success was foreshadowed by her selection as one of five finalists in the KFSH 103.9 Sacramento’s “We Can Make A Difference†contest in October 2002, when she earned the chance to sing a favorite Jaci Velasquez song on-air and even meet the artist herself. And prior to Jaime’s radio success, she was a key part of UCLA’s award winning all-female a cappella group, Random Voices (www.randomvoices.com), participating in the first ever California A Cappella Festival (a showcase event for collegiate a cappella groups across the country) and singing on the group's debut self-titled CD while she earned her degree.Jaime's voice, showcased by the soulful lyrics and soaring melodies on her new album Release Me, is something to be savored; a dash of rock, a touch of country, and an immeasurable amount of honest emotion are the key ingredients in what is sure to be a very tasty sound from this new Sacramento artist.myspace-layout-name: Blue_And_Black;
