About Me

CLICK THESE BANNERS TO VIEW EVENTS!!!!!!!The MDMA story------ It all started in 1986 when, at the age of 13 I bought myfirst set of turntables. It was the worst gear you couldthink of, but it set the stage for what I would spend my lifedoing. My teen yeays were full of gigs at mainstream clubs, under 21clubs, roller rinks, and bangin' house parties. But it was in 1994when I started chillin' with some people who where outside of thenorm did I really understand what I was here to do as a DJ. Istarted hitting clubs like Limelight and Tunnel along withthe countless huge raves in N.Y.C. By febuary 95 I had hookedup with some promoters in Connecticut and landed my first steadyunderground club gig at Phuture in New London. All I can sayis, it may not have been a fancy huge N.Y.C. club, but that shitwas runnin. Period. Fast forward through the past decade and many gigs to now. I'm not going to bore you with a list of every event or clubI've played at, or what big headliners I've played with. What I am going to tell you is what I am here to do now. and that is to ROCK CLUBS. My main concern is the dance floor. I have learned that if Istay true to that, then everything else falls in to place. I am here to rock clubs, promote events, and make peoplemove. That is my calling in life.PROTOTYPE----Prototype has been listening to electronic music since the early '90s. Growing up in Poland, he was disappointed with the mainstream music and instead preferred the hardcore sound coming out of Holland and Germany. At the age of 13 he left Eastern Europe to move to the States. On New Year's Eve 1999, he attended his first rave while still a sophomore in high school; he immediately fell in love with the scene and the music. Over the next few years, he would attend countless parties all over New England and the Tri-state area. In late 2000 he instantly fell in love with dj'ing, spinning vinyl whenever possible. It was around this time that the jungle/d'n'b sound playing in every second room across the northeast scene started to captivate him. He fell headfirst into the drum and bass sound and started buying records. He was a true bedroom dj honing his skills everyday, until the summer of 2003 when he spun his first event in Shelton, CT. Since then, he has spun countless parties all over CT, MA, and NY. Recently becoming one of the residents at the newest bi-weekly by the name of BUMP in New Haven, CT. He is always spinning banging upfront tracks, mixed with older dnb anthems. His unique style of long mixes and powerful tech-step beats is always sure to please. Watch out for this DJ in the coming years as he is truly on the rise. Trixie--- "i've been playing records out at events for fourteen years now. some have been huge 9000 person raves(british columbia), good sized 2500-3000 person CT parties(return to oz, the sting, new britian,CT), and some have been small gatherings of music lovers/dancers(middletown public library, CT) to me, there's no difference. if i reach one person, expose just one to a new musical plateau, my job is done. you never know who's listening, or what they'll get out of it:) i've held a few residencies in the past... the LOFT, the GOTHAM LOUNGE(thursday, friday, and saturday for three years), the BRICKYARD, and the now infamous MUNICIPAL CAFE(aka the muni) all located in hartford CT, the legendary JOLT in brewster NY, ZOOM in boston MA, and FUSION in stamford CT. i've played venues like the ROSELAND BALLROOM in times square, WAIKIKI- hawaii, KUGS radio in washington state, the WHAREHOUSES in NH, the STONE PONY in NJ, and more recently KONKRETE JUNGLE and CAMOFLAGE in nyc, and megaton in LA along with countless others. (these few choices just had an epic quality about them:) last time i tried to count, i had played somewhere in the ballpark of 500+ gigs in sixteen states/three countries. i hope to expand on that in the near future:)

DJ CAT--- DJ CAT started spinning about five years ago after a trip to his local rave club. High for the first time in his life on cat nip, that night he had an experience unlike any other. The pounding beats and breaks made for trippy colors and images in his tiny cat brain. He knew at this point in time that he wanted to rock the decks and bring the bass to cats all over the world. DJ CAT has spun countless parties since then with big name DJs and performers such as Pendulum, Dylan, Icey, Ritchie Hawtin, Prototype, Keoki, and Tiesto just to name a few. A crowd favorite in Europe DJ CAT has played in such countries as Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Poland, and Latvia. Not to mention the residencies he holds down in NYC and LA. We here at Operation Breakbeat are proud to have DJ CAT on the team and look forward to bringing him out to events in the New England area. REPRESENTING THE FORWARD MOVEMENT OF GLOBAL DRUM AND BASS.
