Anyone who has found themselves part of this large mischpacha by accident -- or intention -- of birth, marriage, divorce, emigration, immigration, conversion, wanderlust, etc.

Music:

Everything from Klezmer to John Cage to Beatles to Elvis to whatever you just downloaded on your iPod three minutes ago.Note that in 1906, there were no iPods.

Movies:

Al Jolson in "The Jazz Singer"

Television:

"Your Show of Shows," Ernie Kovacs, that short-lived Mel Brooks thing about Robin Hood, and of course, "Deadwood"

Books:

Hmmm... "The Natural" by Bernard Malamud. Anything by Studs Terkel.

Heroes:

well, you gotta admire ol' Nachman and Esther just for getting the heck out when they did...
