2:Tiesto After a "hectic summer" Tiësto is chilling out on a beach in the Maldives, away from phones, email and everything else modern life can throw at a man. In fact, he had to jump on a boat to the main island just to talk to DJmag, and when he dials us up he sounds relaxed and in good humour. And why not, it's been another great year for the People's DJ™. But the highlight for his British fans was surely the night he took over London's O2 Arena for the first ever all-night event there. "It was quite a big challenge because I've been touring England quite a lot," he admits. "But we pulled it off. It was an amazing night, there was a lot of really young people there." Around 20,000 people in total packed out the O2 Arena for Tiësto's massive gig, which was the complete opposite of the intimate he played earlier that day in the Armani Exchange store, on London's Regent Street.
