Ive been mixing for 4 years but all this started long before. I began to be interested in the Hip-Hop movement at 11 and thought about being part of it practicing one of its disciplines. After an interview of DJ Netik (one of my idol in this field!!) on TV I felt like djaying. At the beginning I played more hip-hop but after going to more and more sound-systems and dancing on dancehall and reggae music I broadened my record selection. Selecta Michugan (Broken Stick sound) invited me many times to play in some gigs. I got more and more confident to play on my own. I play a lot of dancehall, some hip-hop, reggae and a bit of funk, jungle and drumnbass for my pleasure. I mainly spin my sets in sound-system parties and bars and try to bring something else as I dont work as a sound-system, I mix my selections and I dont have any MC. Being a girl in a male dominated field gives me even more motivation to learn more and work hard to get respect for my work from my fellow but I still have many things to work on, like scratching. Sometimes I play for the Dancehallecho sound-sytem (Rennes) and on theses occasions Mister Samy livens up my set, introducing the tracks and performing his songs.
