I like anything that captures my imagination; the music of Bach and The Stranglers, the comedy of Bill Bailey and Frankie Howerd, Cohen Brothers movies, educational documentaries, industrial archaeology, cats, real ale, aircraft & flying, justice being done, cats, walking in the hills moors and mountains, quiet places, doing the right thing, cats, the books of Terry Pratchett and Patrick O'Brian, our nation's history.
Anybody who feels and thinks the same as I do.
Almost everything: classical especially baroque, some 60's, most 70's, practically all the 80's, some britpop and indie, Pink Floyd, The Stranglers (vastly under-rated, have you listened to them?), Portishead. My philosophy is 'suck it and see'
Yanks (or do you mean films I've seen?) Again, I like a mix. Predictably action and war movies, especially if well made and acted, a lot of the old British made classics from the 50's and 60's and the old Ealing comedies. Films that show a halcyon England where I grew up, and honour counted for something.
Funny: Scrubs, Buzzcocks. Intrigue: CSI and offshoots, Bones Educational: almost anything on channel 12 freeview
Discworld, historical adventure (Sharpe, Hornblower etc), Action, war etc.
Decent honest men and women who do the right thing
