About Me

The upper room is located in chula vista, ca. You can visit www.upperroomsd.org for more info on our community. We meet on Sundays at 7 p.m. for Worship & Bible Study.

In scripture, the upper room is a place where Jesus and his 12 disciples shared their last meal together (Mark 14:15 Passover / Last Supper). The upper room is a place where the disciples gathered to pray. It is where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in the book of Acts and they started speaking in tongues. (Acts 1 & 2)

Our desire is that the upper room church is a place where you come in contact with the living God. A place where you commune with the ruler of the universe, the creator of all things. We pray it is a place where the Holy Spirit would transform lives and empower believers to go out and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We are a community that seeks to live like Jesus and to explore what that means in the 21st Century. We are an independent church rooted in the living scripture of the Bible.

We understand that everyone is at a different spot on their spiritual journey, and we would love to walk beside you on this journey and join in your triumphs and suffer alongside your defeats. We are a church that seeks to be real and available. We aren't perfect.

Community. Being around people who are trying to live like Jesus. Making a difference in the world. Helping people. Staying spiritually and emotionally healthy and helping others do that as well. Unity. Holiness.
