I was born in Nigeria to two wonderful people, Pastor Ade and Grace Okonrende. When I was 10 I left Nigeria to reunite with them in London, England where they pioneered the church (The Redeemed Christian Church of God). When I was 13, we move once again to the United States. Although I had been singing in Nigeria and in London, coming to America opened my eyes to many new concepts. My high school friends were very influential in my life, Camry Crump and Ricky Center. They loved music (Gospel music) I knew I could sing, but I saw people who challenged my singing. I got better with time and had begun writing my own songs. I thank my Dad for encouraging me to write my own songs instead of singing what others composed. I never knew I could write a song that people would like, but I realized that being unique is always a plus in whatever anyone does. I successfully completed my first album when I was 18 and the second at the age of 19. My mission in life is to reach out to the young people out there, let them know that God is no respecter of persons. The same way He uses the adults, He can also use us, the young ones. I thank God for the opportunity He has given me to touch many lives that have come my way. I will continue to live for God and let his love radiate to others around me. I believe God for a higher level of outreach, a way for me to reach thousands of souls. While Im waiting on Him for open doors, Ill continue to make good use of the doors that He has already opened.
