A native of Detroit ive been rooted in music since the third grade playing the trumpet All through school attending northwestern high school with one of the best jazz bands of all time for high schools I grew up in church since birth but was never into gospel music having a grandmother and a uncle being music directors at their own churches I had no choice but to listen to gospel by high school I was deeply into jazz listening to old straight ahead like miles woody Shaw Horace silver Freddie Hubbard and a later era like Roy Hargrove Antonio hart Harper bros Vanessa Reuben until one day my best friend introduced me to hip hop such as tribe called quest jungle bros black sheep beat nuts pharcyde which sample jazz that I had already heard before my mind was blown then R&B with native Detroiter Anita baker el Debarge switch and Minnie Ripperton added fuel to the fire after moving to Nashville to pursue music I started playing keys and organ and then neo soul arrived and I started stirring them together to make me, I started producing all this music that I love that makes up one half of Rusty Soul I had the opportunity to work with many people and artist in the industry such as Tamia Kelly price Damita Hadden V3 Anointed Stacie Orrico Donnie Mcklurklin Vanessa bell Armstrong TD Jakes James carter (way back in the day) to name a few I look forward to the things in the future with production and performing check out my dates and if i'm in your town lets make music peace!!!
