Dara R. Bailey, owner of D. Bailey Photography, is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she received her BA in History of Art and Architecture. During her time at Pitt, Dara was employed at Gallery in the Square in Shadyside, PA where she had the opportunity to work alongside many great artists and photographers. Upon graduation, Dara moved to Michigan where she was the Visual Designer for Marshall Field’s, now Macy’s. Many of her original works, both paintings and photographs, were featured alongside her floor and window displays. In 2006 Dara’s dream of becoming a photographer became a reality. She prides herself on her creativity, originality and ability to capture the essence of her subjects. Dara has had the pleasure of photographing Hall of Famers Rocky Bleier and Franco Harris, comic Bill Crawford, several social events around Pittsburgh, including the annual VLP gala at Carnegie Music Hall, the 2007 Justin Timberlake Tour at the Mellon Arena and has traveled across the country photographing corporate events including the J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Chicago, IL. Dara is proud to be the company photographer for rEvolve Dance Theatre and can also be found at Black Box Studios Inc. working with many of Pittsburgh’s finest actors and directors.*All photographs appearing in this Web Site are the property of Dara R.
