I am a 22-foot tall, dimensionally-stable fiberglass roadside icon. For many years I stood atop the Chicken Boy restaurant on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. In the mid-1980s, the restaurant closed and I went into hibernation. Now I am roosting again, in Highland Park (aka “Old L.A.â€), along a stretch of Historic Route 66.
