About Me

I'm a high melancholy personality - perfectionist, analytical, precise, etc. I've been happily married for 35 years to the love of my life. We have three wonderful children who are married to incredible spouses. Our oldest is our daughter, Rachael. She and her husband Darin teach at a university near Seattle. They have two extremely energetic boys (Keegan - 4 and Braeden -2).Our son Ryan and his wife Alyson are youth pastors at a great church in Beaverton, OR. They have a beatiful little girl (Alyza - 17 months). Our youngest son, Royce, and his wife Melanie reside in Columbia, MO where he is in his second year of medical school and she teaches third grade. No children yet from this union. My wife, Cheri, and I live on 4 acres in a large home in the country near Springfield, MO. We enjoy attending local athletic events (mostly Missour State University and Evangel University). We are also passioinate about our family. We pray for them every day and we enjoy being with them as often as possible. We also love our church.I work for a Christian humanitarian aid organization and teach part-time at Evangel University. I spent my formative years in various areas of leadersbip and administration for Christian entities (20 years at American Indian College in Phoenix, AZ). My greatest joy in life is helping other people.

Heroes:

My Dad, who was the most compassionate person I've ever met. He taught me that every human being created by God is worthy of being treated with dignity and respect, and to always put myself in the place of the other person. His favorite expression, which I'll always remember is "I once complained because I didn't have any shoes until I met a man without any feet."
