We serve BUBBLE TEA, smmothies, Tao of Tea, bagels (baked fresh daily...) coffee and espresso. Bubble tea orginated in Taiwan in the 1980's and is as important to the taiwanese, as coffee is to americans. What EXACTLY IS bubble tea? Bubble Teas are tasty tea-based drinks served with tapioca pearls at the very bottom. You may choose to have your bubble tea with milk (more traditional type of bubble tea, Fat Straw's milk teas are ALL made with COCONUT MILK therefore are all NON-DAIRY,) you can also have plain green or black tea, flavored green or black tea or even a fruit icee. The tapioca pearls are dark in color, and don't have much taste to them, but are extremely addictive. They can be called a number of different things depending on where you are from; Pearls, Boba, Tapioca, or Bubbles. In addition to these 'bubbles,' you can choose from a different variety of flavored jellies as well. Fat Straw offers Pineapple jelly, Lychee jelly, Coconut jelly, Coffee jelly, Green Apple jelly. As if this wasn't enough to boggle your mind, we also have EGG CUSTARD...super duper good; the forgotten middle child in the family. EGG CUSTARD is close in texture to flan and has a vanilla taste and scent to it. For beginners, try our Original milk tea, Taro milk tea, Coconut milk tea, Green milk tea or Pomegranate black tea.
