And you.
You can find state employees like us in hundreds of locations throughout California – and in other states. We deal with natural disasters, protect seniors and children, maintain our environment, and provide quality health care.
But we don’t just belong to state service. We belong to a union.
We’re SEIU Local 1000, the largest state worker organization in California.
For decades we’ve fought to improve working conditions, pay, and benefits. We’ve developed a proud history of protecting the quality state services Californians depend on. Politicians and their appointees may come and go, but we state workers keep California going year in, year out.
The future looks even brighter. We’re entering a new era of strength and unity that promises to create positive changes for state employees and those we serve.
Together, we are that future. We are the union.
