My Blue Heavy burst into the local Vancouver music scene in '97. With a plethora of well written Pop/Rock tunes, the band performed tight live shows to hundreds of thirsty drunks at bars all over the Lower Mainland. After releasing F.K.W. (Feelin' Kinda Waco) on Viva records in 1999, the boys played every bar possible eventually burning out. So My Blue Heavy put the originals aside and went coverband, working under their label's (Viva) owner, Attila Ambrus. Feldman always gets his cut too, don't worry about that. What a sleazy biz it is though !! Getting paid $650 a week just for booking an act !! In early 2000, after losing Rob Krys on vocals and then scooping him back up again, the drummer, Chris DaSilva decided he'd had enough and packed it in. When the second drummer, Steve Sanek couldn't keep it together, My Blue Heavy decided to pack it in. Now the four members have new projects on the go. Lyle Longridge is doing a solo project. Chris DaSilva is in Dirty and the Derelicts, Rob Krys sings with Hezzakya, and Izzy James' new project is BEWARE OF GOD. Check it out on My Space too!! If you wish to purchase F.K.W. on CD, just drop My Blue Heavy a message and arrange to send $10 USD via mail. $4.20 of the $10 will go to the ALS Society of CANADA. If you know who Jason Becker is, then you will want to help. If not, go search him out and then buy the damn albumn, OK?! The album rocks heavy. Peace Rock & Roll Up !!
