John 'Country Boy' Roach

About Me

John 'Country Boy' Roach is a finger style guitar player, vocalist and harmonica player (and occasional bass) with a wide repertoire of blues, folk, pop, rock n roll, Welsh folk and instrumentals. Started playing at open mic sessions/folk clubs/blues jams in 2002 and working my way around trying to get solo artist work. Picked up the 'Country Boy' nickname for playing country blues songs (Skip James, Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, etc.). Appeared in the Swansea Blues Festival in 2006 and the Uplands Music Festivals in 2005-07.
