Speaking really bad Spanish, EATING, samba (even tho' I'm horrible at it), laughing until a little bit of pee comes out, making fun of my friends then begging them for their forgiveness, softball, swimming, taking naps on the beach, TRAVELING, hugging, movies, discovering funky places, chillin with friends and family, breaking out in dance at inappropriate moments, exploring, walking in the park to get a popsicle (tiene fresa?)....pretty much anything that life serves me is what I'm interested in. Oh, last but not least, Spend time with my hubby =)
whoever comes my way...
The normal statement: "Everything but country" OZOMATLI mos def, Spanish music, Ojos de Brujo, DLG (I love them even tho' they're no longer), Las Orishas, Daniella Mercury, Jobim, any samba music, Erika Badu, anyone who proves them a great musician when you see them live, Roots, early 90's (Pharcyde, Nice and Smooth, Gangstarr, Black Sheep...) Good R&B Musiq, Alicia Keys, Usher, Jill Scott, my husband has got me into Rock en Espagnol like Enanitos Verdes and Miguel Mateos. 80's music is the best to do the running man and reebok to as well. And last but not least....Rick Astley!
Big Fish and The Station Agent (God, those were great movies!!) Top ten: 1. Usual Suspects 2. Saving Private Ryan 3. Girlfight 4. Love and Basketball 5. The Station Agent 6. Bowling for Columbine/Farenheit 9/11 7. Bridget Jones' Diary 8. Bring it On (that movie was genius!) 9. Matrix (only the first one, the other two SUCKED!) 10. Seven
I don't watch too much t.v. but when I do it's pretty mind numbing stuff like A LOT of VH1 and Friends re-runs. Oh and Foodtv...I love watching food being cooked, and everything that has to do with food.
Mean Streets by Piri Thomas, Irresistable Revolution, Blue Like Jazz moved my heart as well as Mere Christianity convicted me. Bridget Jones' Diary is hilarious!
The kids I work with who make it through the system.
