a little history... I love raqsharki mostly known as Bellydancing, i also like video editing (hobbie). I am very much attracted to the gypsy and the arab culture. Fascinated with the history of egypt and anciant art museums, Cleopatra and all egyptian pharaons...Been studying the art of bellydancing for a while now and I've rescently discovered that bellydancing was first tought to greeks by the persians. The oldest dance in the world (belly dance) was created by a man! After giving birth, women would die of weekness. Suddenly, a man came up with mouvements witch made the abdominals stronger and he encouraged all women to practice the mouvements regulary. Thru the years, each of the arab countrys gave it its own little touch and it became oriental dance. Although Iran is trying to proove these mentions to the world, they have not yet succeeded since lots of the ancient litterature has been destroyed by the religion who condamned this dance by saying it was sinfull.
