Neil Gaiman's Sandman series is probably the best piece of fiction written in my lifetime. 1984, American Gods, A Fistful of Rain, Stardust, Gulliver's Travels, From Beirut to Jerusalem, Letters to Wendy's, In the Shadows of the Sun, The Bell Jar, Jonnie Panic and the Bible of Dreams, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, Garth Ennis' Preacher, Frankenstein, the poetry of William Blake, The Spider's Kiss, Transmetropolitan.I also read a bunch of stuff that features people in tights.

Oh, and Bear Grylls. He's a beast.
