In 1979, Lexie left college due to illness and moved back to Philly to live
with her parents and recuperate. It was there she met up with her partner in
music, Steve Ellington, and made the choice to do rock and roll instead of
continuing on to Broadway. They first worked as an acoustic duo, and then formed
a band called Camouflage doing all kinds of music from classic rock to the go
go's. In 1984 they formed an original band known as Fifty/50. Philly was a hot
spot for original talent during that time. Bands like The Hooters, Tommy Conwell
and the Young Rumblers, Robert Hazzard, Bon Jovi, Pretty Poisin were all coming
out of this fold. Fifty/50 had the opportunity to play with Robert Hazzard and
played many of the same venues as they did.
Fifty/50 did their last gig when Lexie was 7 months pregnant and had to stop
because she was afraid the baby was gonna kick her off the stage.
Lexie has continued writing music, while raising three sons and is getting ready
to introduce her debut CD entitled, ..L E X I E...
