What can I say about me. Well I am living a life that I would have never thought was for me. I grew up in a working class family in the city. I went to school with every intention on joining the workforce. In college I got waylaid met the man of my dreams, married him and left Texas (something I never thought I would do). He moved me from Texas to Nevada then finally to Indiana (Corn Country) about as different from Dallas as can be. We moved to the suburbs and I went back to school. I graduated in May 2000 a few months after my daughter was born. Once Tori got here we faced the dilemma of putting her in day care which was very expense. After doing the math we realized that as a first year teacher I would not be bringing much home after taxes and day care. So we decided that I could stay home with her until she was older and day care costs would be less expensive. Well eight years and another child later I am still at home. I went back briefly in 2006 and realized that working mothers must have angels on their shoulders because I just could not do it. Working at school all day then coming home and working their all night wore me out. I am grateful that Wayne is working in town now making life a lot eaiser and somewhat normal. 2008 should be interesting for me two kids in full time public school and me on one to many PTO boards life will be fun!
