This profile was edited with Thomas' Myspace Editor V3.2b Eagle-I aka Asuf Ishaq is a British Asian dj/producer who now resides in Amsterdam, during the mid 90s in London he experienced the rise of Brit/Asian music culture, at the time he was studying for his graphic design masters degree, he designed for 2nd generation magazine, a Asian music, culture and politics magazine.Eagle-I as a dj over the last 6 years has spun at Shaanti UK, Sfinks world music festival in Belgium, Mansoon in Germany, Mystic Grooves and Global nights in Amsterdam to name a few. He had over a years residency at Nomads a cool middle Eastern bar/restaurant and 2 years residency at Sutra Funk, 'the' Asian underground flava nite in Amsterdam.Eagle-I is increasingly busy with ideas for new music and has produced 'Nagins Spell' a break-beat track last year (unreleased), and his latest track 'French Kiss' featuring Celine Wadier, this a mix of French and Asian flava, twist of Electro, hip-hop sort fo sound. He is constantly busy in the studio cutting up, mixing and composing beats and rhythms, with the vision of completing an album later this year.Few years of spinning in bars and clubs in Amsterdam he noticed the lack of a serious regular UK Asian underground music, he set on a mission to start a night, Sutra Funk was born, pumping out Asian underground and Eastern beats, live musicians, tabla, darbuka, sitar, vocals interact with djs and vjs beam trippy visuals, Sutra Funk became an instant hit with the Dutch. Eagle-I is also resident dj at Sutra Funk and regularly invites other djs from the UK, Germany and local talent, this year Sutra Funk celebrates 2 glorious years, and now based at Sugar Factory a cool new club in town.
