Music:
Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Stone Temple Pilots, Coldplay, Live, 311, Cake, Genesis, The Police, Tonic, Led Zep, NIN, industrial techno stuff, new-age relaxing time music, etc. Country music can go lick one. New music that has tickled me includes OK Go, The Killers, The Black Angels and Frans Ferdinand.
Movies:
Where to start... oh, here: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars (specifically The Empire Strikes Back), Dark City, Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Memento, Alien, Legend, Big Trouble in Little China, Serenity, The Goonies, Hellboy, The Incredibles, The Lion King, Monsters Inc., The Breakfast Club, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Spaceballs, etc etc etc
Television:
Lost, CAPS Hockey, The Office, Whose Line...?, TNA Wrestling, The 4400, How I Met Your Mother, CAPS Hockey, MXC, Funny Video Shows, Farscape, Firefly, Discovery/TLC/History Channel stuff, shows where they play pro hockey or football on tv... The Discovery Science channel runs an astronomy night thing on tuesdays and it fills my DVR nicely. CAPS hockey. I'm ashamed to say that "Flavor of Love" on VH1 has snared me. Half the time Flav is eating during his "confessionals". THAT'S entertainment. Yeeeeah BOOYEEE!
Books:
Stuff by Tolkien, Bradbury and Neil Gaiman. I've started to read the Harry Potter books because I was afraid of being polymorphed into an amphibian of some sort by Liz and Sara.
Heroes:
The X-Men kick ass. Alphonse Mucha's work is inspirational. Look him up. He's the father of Art Nouveau. I also greatly respect the world Tolkien manged to create. Unbelievable. Charles Darwin, Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking.
