Music:

0 - 11 As a kid I used to love singing along to my dads Dire Straights and Don McLean albums. My Mum and Dads friends Ewam McColl and Peggy Seeger were prolific folk musicians and we would have new albulm of theirs all the time that I would listen to and there would be a variety of new songs written by the couple and old ones that were being passed on to try and keep folk alive but their concerts were the best. My parents often helped organise thme in glasgow and they stayed at ours a couple of times. It was always exciting and we would almost always have a sing along afterwards at home. As a 90's teenager, I love dance music but sometimes a good sing song goes down a treat. I also listend to the beatles from an early age as my Dad had a couple of albums. Madonnas "like a Virgin" was the first album that I ever "borrowed" off my big sister when I was about 8. A-ha and New kids on the Block (i cant deny it, i was 10 and I loved them all!) While im at it I also liked MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice when I was in 1st Year. 12 - 14 Blondie, Prince, Tracy Chapman, Nancy Grifiths, Suzanne Vega, KLF, The Shamen, NWA, Public Enemy, The Wonderstuff, Carter USM, Bob Marley, The Clash all these had a place in my early teen years. Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Orb, Neil Young, Massive Attack, Stevie Wonder, The Stanglers, James, Scheme, Nirvana, Seal, The Prodigy these guys all came into myself when... well most of you already know mary jane im sure. Blur,Sunscream, Ticky Disco (what a tune, don't know who did it?) It was around when I was just starting to think about going to a "disco" for the first time. Of course having gone to the Arches and become intoxicated...by its atmospherE for the first time, bleepy, thumpy crazy electronic music and the giggly, jumpy madness that came with it became the main driver in my life for about 3 years). 15 - 18 So Slam at the arches, with Laurent Garnier what a night.
