I started off playing drums when I was 17. Right from the get go I played in a band we called 'Plan B', even though I'm pretty sure there was an actual band called that :P. Anyway, band members were Christian Young, John Martell, Doug Cogswell, Randal Tomada, and myself. We only ended up playing the one show haha, but it was great.
That band soon subsided, and so practice was a huge focus. There were a couple jams with different people, but the next band I seriously got into was 'Kamikazi Trooper'. My bandmates were Randy Ward, Ryan (Bean) MacDonald, and Glenn McDonald. We had a few shows, good times.
My former band known as Deathridge was the first one to seriously kick into the Cape Breton locals scene. There were several line-up changes due to conflicts, but the final and completely beefed-out line-up was Marc Langille, Jason Burke, Kevin Wade, Cory (Cortez) MacLeod, and I. Some of my favorite musical moments were during this era.
While this band was taking course, there was another Metal band attempting to emerge, but they needed was a bassist. I decided to give it a shot. So it was Ryan Donovan on vox, Jason Burke on guitars, me on bass, and Matty (Jason's bro) on drums. Playing with these guys was uber intense. I had also played with the band Athymia on several occasions, filling in for Dave Grant. Another honor.
Sadly, time came where I had moved away from all of my musical peers. Since then, I've been practicing a lot of acoustic guitar, and just started learning recording theory. I also hope to start vocal lessons soon. But the thing I most hope for is to re-unite with musical genious Jason Burke and get a serious musical project going.
