Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area (408), Suga Shane has been in the mix for over 19 years! In 2001 Shane was priviledged to work with THE BAKA BOYZ at San Francisco's 106.1 KMEL. "I owe a lot to J-Love and the Baka Boyz! I gained more knowledge in 8 months working with them than I had the past 10 years on my own!" In 2002 he joined MEGA 100 (KQOD) in Stockton/Modesto as a mixer for "Antoine's "5 O'clock Groove" and the "Saturday Night Old School Party." In 2003 Suga Shane was one of three finalists in the WiLD 94.9 "WiLD Style Mix Off" held at the Factory in San Francisco. He began appearing as a guest DJ for the "Mickey Fickey" mix show weekends on WiLD 94.9 (KYLD) in San Francisco. In March of 2005 Suge began mixing at 97.7 & 98.3 KWIN/KWNN in Stockton/Modesto. In June he bagan his on-air carrer @ KWIN starting with weekends then ending up as the station utility player filling in for all dayparts. In September of 2006 DJ E-Rock invited Suga Shane to join the world famous SHADYVILLE DJ's. "Big shout out to E-Rock, Whoo Kid, Akio, DJ Noodles and the entire Shadyville crew for welcoming me into the fam!" On April 14, 2008 Suga Shane started a new chapter in his carrer with KHOP @ 95-1 doing overnights and The KHOP Hit Mix @ 9pm with ORPHAN ANDREW. He can also be heard on air Saturday's from 4-8pm then in the mix from 8pm-midnight with FONSECA and the SATURDAY NIGHT SOUND FACTORY.
