Born to a Jamaican-Panamanian mother and a Jamaican-Chinese father, Ka’hryn began her journey to stardom in Bronx, New York. Ever since the R&B songstress performed as Lauryn Hill in her church’s reenactment of Sister Act II, she knew she wanted to become a star. “It just felt right…I was only 12, but I had never felt that comfortable before.†Realizing what she wanted to do with her life and with inspiration from The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, the style, talent, and modesty of Aaliyah, and the lyrical passion of Vivian Green, it came as no surprise that Ka’hryn followed her dreams immediately following high school. A chance encounter would allow Ka’hryn the opportunity to become a member of the girl group, Bellisima Rose, which seemed very promising. At that point in my life, I was coming out of my girl group situation, and I had to pull from everywhere just to compete. Winning just reaffirmed that there is nothing impossible for me.†Unafraid of hard work, Ka’hryn maintains the same level of commitment and dedication in every show that she performs, in every song she writes, and in every song she sings.......................................................
