Pogodno were formed in 1996 in Szczecin (Stettin), a seaside town in the north-west of Poland. The name Pogodno, comes from the name of one of nicest districts in Stettin.
At first there were 3 of us but then the band just seemed to grow and evolve. At one point we had a female vocalist AND a brass band played with us on some projects too! :)
At the moment there are 4 of us playing in Pogodno on a regular basis. We have been described by the Polish media as the best 'Alternative' band on the Polish music scene.
We have also been labelled as the best' Live Act'. Our last studio album "Pielgrzymka Psow" (The Pilgrimage of Dogs) was named the best album of 2004 by Przekroj Magazine, one of the leading and most opinion making magazines in Poland.
In the last 4 years we have recieved nominations for the Fryderyk Awards (The Polish Music Industry Awards) as the 'best alternative music band'.
Our last project 'Opherafolia' was a rock-music-opera which we wrote and performed in March 2006 at the PPA Theatre Festival in Wroclaw. We are currently promoting the new album ‘Opherafolia’ which consists the songs of opera.
All of us take part in our individual music projects and we are always willing to experiment with other musicians and their tastes.
We don't have a certain style of music that we like to stick with. Generally it's a mix of funk, big beat, rock, indie, hip hop and anything that makes us smile and let you have a good time.
