I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a very down to earth, yet lovable person, who simply enjoys life. I'm initially shy until you get to know me, then you can't shut me up. I love to laugh, clown-around, and tell jokes. I'm no comedian but every once in a while, a good one will come to me. I adore my current friends and enjoy making new ones. Soon, they realize they adore me too....smiles*

I currently reside, work, worship and attend school in Washington, DC, each in a different quadrant(NE, SW, SE, NW). I'm originally from New York City, where I grew up in Harlem. Yes, Harlem IS in Manhattan!

I work as a Database Administrator(DBA) for BAE SYSTEMS where I've been for 6 years. I'm a 2nd year part-time MBA Student at the University of Maryland College Park(Robert H. Smith School of Business) Class of 2008. I attend Southeast Christian Fellowship Church where I'm a part of the Restoration(Young Adult) Choir, Dance Ministry, and RAW small group ministry.

My Interests

I love to travel, hang out with friends, try new restaurants, go bike riding, drink wine (attend wine tasting and go to vineyards). My favorite right now is Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon (any year). I've had the opportunity to travel to Mexico City, Barcelona, Madrid, Tokyo, Jamaica, Grand Caymans, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, USVI, Hawaii and most of the major US cities. I sill have a long list of domestic and international destinations that I plan visit.

I love dance, all forms, including modern, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary/lyrical, ball room, Latin, tap, flamenco, liturgical (w/gospel music), basically anything. Although I've never received any formal training, I still secretly aspire to be a dancer. So, I just stick with my day job and watch "So You Think You Can Dance".

I love to cook and bake. I'm building my cook book library. Favorite/popular dished I've cooked include fried chicken, macaroni and cheese(a staple), Bake Ziti, Lasagna, smothered Chicken, BBQ Chicken, hot wings, sweet potato casserole, meatballs, various pasta dishes, baked turkey, tacos(yes, I make taco hard taco shells), Chicken Enchilada Ring, and various appetizers. Are you hungry? Ready for dessert. I love almost anything Chocolate….my weakness. I bake cheesecake, apple pie, homemade chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, brownies, dump cake, cherry-apple tart, apple turnover, ice cream cake, and festive holiday cakes and desserts.

I like to play poker,Texas Hold'em, mostly for fun. But sometimes I'll blow some money in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Not too much, I'm still a conservative gambler(I know an oxymoron).

Recently, I've just taken up golf. Still learning the lingo and getting better on my swing. My short game and putting isn't too bad.

I'd like to meet:

At least over 400 people which includes, the 400 top richest people in the world and the 100 top richest people in the United States. I'm pretty sure after hanging out with them for a while, their talents for getting rich will rub off on me and I'll be next in line.

I would also like to meet Johnny Depp(my Favorite Actor), Janet Jackson(my favorite recording Artist), Emeril Lagasse, Rachael Ray, Wolfgang Puck, T.D Jakes, Kirk Franklin, Samuel L Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Jamie Foxx, Diddy, Prince, Eddie Murphy, Susan Lucci(Erica Kane), President Bill Clinton, Senator Barak Obama, Mayor Ray Nagin, Tiger Woods, Simon Cowell, Kelly Clarkson, Hugh Jackman.
