About Me

I love eddie izzard. He's awesome. Better than the hotdogs.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Martial arts, going to concerts of all sorts, drinking and dancing, going to the movies or watching loads of dvds at home. Love dogs, have the tendency to dislike anyone who doesn't.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who's got anything interesting to say.

Music:

Been a goth, still admittedly not entirely over it (and i'm proud about that). Also been (and still am) a dedicated fan of the grunge-seattle scene. Current portable-MP3 playlist (always a good example) includes El Caco, Porcupine Tree, Tool, Pearl Jam, Incubus,Corrosion of Conformity, The Tea Party, Monster Magnet, Paradise Lost, Opeth, Nightstalker, Potergeist, Liquidust, Cube, Anathema, Black Label Society, Danzig, Masters of Reality. I've been also expressing a fondness for funk/soul music, lately. Any suggestions are welcome!

Movies:

All time top five: 1) High Fidelity 2) The Brotherhood of the Wolf 3) The Emperor's New Groove 4) Beatlejuice 5) Singles

Television:

Never been a fan, really. I like stuff like Scrubs, Red Dwarf, Green Wing, and all the episodes from Moonlighting. Fav Greek TV series: A.M.A.N., Oi Aparadektoi, 10 Mikroi Mhtsoi.

Books:

Anything about Fantasy literarure, swords and sorcery, dragons, demons, etc. In other words, anything that people ignore and insist that does not exist. Fools! Also into esoteric filosophy, mysticism, metaphysics. Currently reading "Jitterbug Perfume" by Tom Robbins

Heroes:

My mother. No, really.

DiDi Music makes up for Tool disaster-gig

It was the perfect second opportunity. The weather was condecending, the trees in Terravibe, Malakasa were alive and well, coloring the landscape, the space was huge, as well as the stage (festival-pr...

Athens lost in the flames of Hell

Two weeks ago, Athens reached a temperature of 47degrees Celsius. Everything was burning up, even the people. It was impossible to do anything, let alone go to work or get in a car. Even in the shade,...

RHCP Tribute band better live than RHCP?!

It's probably the case... I've never seen (regretably) Red Hot Chili Peppers live myself, but i have seen a fair amount of DVDs and shows, and i will agree with most of the people who have looked into...

Greek Underground Scene: Time to ascend to the ground?

Ok, as it is probably evident from my profile and previous blogs, I like music, I kind of have taken it in a professional manner, and hope to continue that way and even more seriously. I love music, a...

Tool bring themselves down to the low standard of Greek concerts. Or did they?

An extraordinary event took place on Saturday, at least for the metal crowd of Athens, Greece. Tool visited us (and Mastodon as the opening act), delivering what they've always promised their fans: An...

Greeks and stray dogs

I shouldn't be doing this, because i'm Greek, and i'm about to talk about my people doing horrible things. But I can't help it. I was driving around the centre of Athens this morning with someone, as ...

One can only have one home. Bugger.

Living in a different country for a few years is great. You study, work, learn a different culture, meet different people. Some of them just pass by. Others become really good friends, and you even mi...

Give freedom to the djs!

There was a great party that took place at the Underground Club, Exarhia, on Sunday. For those of you who ignored our bulletins, it was a Webcomics party and I was a guest dj. Lots of people turn...
