VIEW OUR NEW BLOG: Gil Bar!!!SLEEP IN HATE Is a band based in Mozambique-Maputo, created in early 2004 with the original line-up of only two members: Speed Nitro-Fingers and Hannibal Lecter, guitarist and vocalist, respectively...The band sound was forged by the hands of Speed Nitro-Fingers with his fast-forward idealism and music extremism, vastly influenced by the freedom of Nirvana and specially by the figure of Kurt Cobain, his anger coming for the deviance of urbanism and the sounds of the extreme styles of metal, not regarding the fecund artwork within of extreme styles, even though leaving the true commitment to the guitar playing to his own ideas and the personal understanding of musicality and human feelings.SLEEP IN HATE met a more concrete and violent sound with the addiction to the original yet uncompleted formation, of its drummer Phobos, that in the same year of the beginning of the band showed interest in being part of the band.The addiction of a drummer was obviously essential to determine a prominent line to follow in terms of sound and attitude in contradiction to the yet not so aggressive surrounding bands in that period, somehow influenciated by the terms of rap and mostly nu-metal, but the best concern was his dark influences from black metal and pagan poetry writings that gave a more sincere and atrociously beautiful ambience to the band, an agonizing dark ages accomplished sound. Darh Vader joined the band, with his somehow strange and macabre pacifism, with his quite and always thoughtful visage-that awarded him the nick of "Silent Corpse" with a Albert Fishers smile.......was almost before Vaders entry in the band that the obsession with gore and brutal death and the Corpses theory started impaling decisively the lyrics of SLEEP IN HATE by the expression of Lecters feelings towards humanity and the irritating defects of man, this hatred and violence came pounding in the form of the attempt to reshape the human design through medical transformation operated in its defected anatomy, violence against the normal status of men desegregation of society through racism and social status, extending the human nature of this deviation to religion, social icons, politics...in short everything which was born with the nature of being HATED.Later in 2006 in the eve of the Rock Festival Metal Zone, the band developed a different anatomy in their sound ending up to surrender their death metal background to the intimate artwork of the keyboards melodic atmosphere, with the addiction of a new member Siennexus a very talented musician, also a medicine student for a change. Converging all these facts came the idea of recording a demo, which took the band to a exile in the studio working in their material. In (day) the band started the recording session for both the 10 minutes Orgasmically Sterilized Uterine Abattoir and the 9 minutes Deceased Larvae Compounds in Lysergic Decomposition, giving birth of what would come to be the first songs of extreme styles of music ever to be edited in Mozambique, a country so to say, not ready for a single remote gasp to the underground patterns of life...this is now SLEEP IN HATE.
