I love books and libraries, numerology, astrology, tattoos, writing and philosophy. I used to be addicted to the ocean and canyon views, but since I moved back from LA I havent seen to much of that lately. I am not a girly girl..not a tomboy either; somewhere in between. I can sleep all day, stay up all night. Or stay up all day and sleep all night. I can laugh and cry all in the same minute. I love life's ironies that really are merely the law of attraction at work. I believe that there is really no such thing as "long-term", except for love..well maybe. There is no reason to ever have any regrets, and there is absolutely nothing that you can't see from the other angle. Every story has two sides..or more and you should never underestimate the power of perception. Communication. I should probably study it formally to help me understand it better, but this is what I know about it so far...although it is the first thing we learn to do as babies, it seems the older I get, I have a harder time knowing what to say.I believe that what you believe is done unto you, and that every decision you make can be out of love or fear. I choose love and optimism. I believe that interdependence is the goal, not independece. Thats me!At some point you have to make a decision, boundaries don't keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy, that's how we're made. So you can waste your life drawing lines or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. Here's what I know, if you're willing to throw caution to the wind and take a chance, the view from the other side, is spectacular.ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL: I am interested in pursuing a career in medicine/medical research,law and bioethics. My interests in medicine include transfusion medicine, immunohematology, pediatric oncology and hematology, and transplant medicine/surgery. I have a strong research interested in adolescent sexual behavior and infectious disease (STDs) especially HPV. While I have many facets of Bioethics that interest me, I seem to turn my attention to the ethical implications of organ, tissue, and blood donation. Eugenics, embryonic stem cell research, and right to life and death arguments also catch my attention. I am really focused on providing myself a diverse background on the practice of medicine and health. This is why I chose to participate in the Medical Humanities program IUPUI offers. With this minor, you receive broad humanistic perspectives on the art and science of medicine and take with you this unique perspective. I’ve been particularly interested in the history of medicine, as I feel it gives you an appreciation for what modern scientific medicine achieves today. First of all I will probably want to get a law degree before I do anything in the medical field.
