Yung D luv...^About me..... Well I've been doing this for a few years now, to start off I had to imitate other MC's lyrics untill I had my own. This helped me to develope style, timing and confidence etc. I was spitting round friends houses when people started saying I sounded good, I took this oppertunity to properly write my own lyrics and spit them at little parties etc. I was supprised to see people feeling it then telling me afterwards how good I was. I started writing more and more untill I had enough lyrics to get myself on the radio and in the club scene. I found it difficult as the local radios were full of lame MC's who didnt want any new faces onboard. I managed to get on some local radio, clubs etc eventually, but they always ended premature, being shut down or always moving too far for me to get to. Also living in Canvey Island there wasnt alot happening on the scene !!!! I became frustrated, but to be honest this is when Yung D was born. The bumpy Garage style left me, I was also older n wiser, so my lyrics had more meaning. I started to write about my lifes views and things that had happened to me (by this time alot had). It was a blessing in disguise as I could of ended up being labled a bumpy UKG MC, where as now I see myself as one of the Garage MC's that evolved from that style. The time I was sitting back in the dark was spent writing stories about my life in rhyme form, fictional stories, basically evolving from the oldskool UKG MC. I also finished my first single 'What goes around comes around' which is a story of my split from my ex, it developed alot of hype locally underground. This was the tune that kicked me off properly in the year of 2006. People could see that I could put my lifes stories onto beats and also that I was a writer, not just a host. I gained alot of respect from that track. Now I'm on Various Stations around London and Essex, spitting my lyrics over grime/garage. So far this has allowed me to do radio shows and events with alot of the UK's top urban artists allready, to name a few I respect fully...MC Vapour, MC Creed, Special MC, MC Kie, MC Munchie, MR Faizer & many top DJ's on the scene. I still love the old garage but I think I will eventually evolve into Hip-hop/Grime as this is where my true love lies. Since properly getting into the scene, various Artists have asked to work with me in the underground scene, so look out for collaborations with the MC's I respect. I have since been signed to Explicit Records so its almost certain I will work hard to release an album/mixtape. I have 2 tracks completed so far, 'Greedy Riddim' and 'Plastics'. Tracks should be available from www.explicitrecords.net or on this very space. Im working hard right now on my writing and have a few beats to vocal from big producers.
