About Me

The 2 most important things that describe me right now are the facts that I love theater and have had my heart broken. I'm not as passionate about the things I love lately, but I hope to get it all back one day. A broken heart really messes you up. I used to be super passionate. I was unstoppable at pursuing what I wanted. People that have met me lately say they can see my passion, but those that knew the old me know that I've lost something.
My 2 most favorite things in the world are Rocky Horror and RENT! These pieces have moved me like no others. I think they are masterpieces. I've been performing in the Rocky Horror Picture Show since 1998. I was in the Rocky Horror Show in 2003 as Columbia. I got nominated for a Big Easy Award for that role. I really hope to be in a production of RENT one day! I want to play Mimi! I have also been in Bluebeard as Sybil and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told as Mabel. I was also briefly in comedy improv troupe called the Skyfire Players, but the show got cut before my first performance. I was so upset. I finished The Eight: Reindeer Monologues as Vixen at the Marigny Theatre on December 17, 2006. I also finished Sympathetic Magic as Barbara at the Marigny Theatre on February 11, 2007. My next show was A Piece of My Heart at the Actor's Theatre of New Orleans as Sissy. It closed April 21, 2007. My next show was Nighthawks at the Marigny Theatre. It is the winner of the Saints and Sinners playwrighting competition and is based on the painting of the same name. I played Donna. It closed May 27, 2007. Then, I was in Cobalt Blue as Maya at the Marigny Theatre. It closed August 12, 2007. My next show was Love at the Lounge at the Hi Ho Lounge. It consisted of two one-act plays: Eat Pudding and All Night Service. I played Hathor and Taffy. It closed October 21, 2007. The next thing I did was The Vagina Monologues as The Woman Who Loved to Make Vaginas Happy. That closed March 29, 2008. Then I was in DramaRama in How My Mother Ruined My Life as Bree on April 19, 2008. I've also been working with an improv comedy troupe called The National Comedy Company. My first improv comedy show was be April 25, 2008.
Rocky Horror showed me that theater can really move/affect a modern audience. It's what inspired me to go into theater. Just as I was about to lose faith in the theater (including film, television, etc.) because of all the bad pieces out there that didn't speak to me, I saw RENT. That renewed my faith. I never thought I'd find another piece as moving as Rocky Horror. Thank goodness I was wrong! I was about to give up on the theater lifestyle, but RENT showed me I just couldn't. Again I believed that the theater was a very powerful medium that could move/affect/change people. It showed me that there still is beauty in this world. I usually don't see it, but RENT showed it to me. That's what good theater does. I think the arts in general (especially theater) have the abilty to communicate emotions, ideas, etc. that regular words just can't express.
As you can tell from my pics, I love to dress in costumes. Yes, Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I think it should be several times a year, or any time you want! Life's too short to be normal and boring. That's no fun! I sincerely feel that way. Hey, I can be normal/professional when necessary, but if I don't break the monotony often enough, I start to go crazy. It's very therapeutic, you should try it. I own an abundance of costumes, sexy lingerie, and fetish-like accessories, and I am damn proud of it. I wouldn't have it any other way.
