The Bostrom brothers have long been synonymous with style.... From Eric's brief, circa-2004 "Wolverine" facial-hair phase to Ben's increasing proclivity toward sleeveless shirts, there's no question that few American racers have brought as much flair to the road race paddock. But somewhere between surfing the waves off Indonesia, scaling cliffs in the south of France, riding street bikes through Death Valley, and congratulating themselves for avoiding a regular job, they were struck by a thought: "We realized there was something missing in the motorcycle industry," Ben explains. "Somebody needed to bring some style to it."
That night, the brothers sat down for a brainstorming session. Four lightning strikes, two power outages, and one conversation about stealth, history, mad genius, plate tectonics, and courage somehow combined to form the genesis of Boz Bros, a company whose mission is to offer ground-breakingly stylish products while delivering quality and performance that meet even a racer's high standards. "Whether it's motorcycle accessories, clothing, or riding gear, everything that comes out of Boz Bros is going to fit that definition," says Eric (Book of Boz, 32:155).
Straight out of the hangar roars the latest addition to the Boz Bros exhaust line: the stainless steel, triple-stage B-2. Half untamed hotrod and half finely tuned, racing-inspired design, the all-American B-2 offers a sound unlike anything else in the industry, and a look as unique as it is raw. Each system is TIG-welded by skilled craftsmen and features no badges, logos, or other commercial niceties, just a 4-2-1 design for maximum horsepower and torque, plus a no-apologies slash-cut exit. The B-2 even knows how to get along with the neighbors: Command every scene you arrive on, or go stealth with Boz Bros’ patented triple-core design, which takes decibels as low as 110 without sacrificing the B-2’s unmistakable sound.
The Boz Bros apparel line has is roots in Ben and Eric’s childhood: Dad was a California State dirt track champ, and his racing buddies were heroes of their time, top competitors in a field that produced On Any Sunday-type legends. Growing up under that kind of talent not only honed the brothers' riding skills, but also fostered a respect for the history of racing—and for the grace of the sport itself—that never faded, and which is evident today in their line of men’s and women’s apparel featuring vintage-racing-inspired designs. But where others may see only the aesthetic of vintage cool, Bostroms see the uncut essence of what makes motorcycles, riding, and racing worth living for.
"Our image isn't for everybody," adds Ben. "The idea is to keep it small, cater to the people who identify with what we're doing, and, most importantly, put a lot of love into the effort so that we're always proud of what we're building." Learn more at www.bozbros.com .
