ive being a turntablist/d.j for around 12 years now, i bought my first wax at the age of 10-11(i think it was a big daddy kane album,definatly something from cold chilling) and won my first pair of soundlab decks in a local dj contest when i was in school. i used to practise scratching because i loved sounds and expressing myself thru sound and music. as the years went on and my collection grew i started putting out mixtapes and throwing down at house parties. around 7 years ago, i took it more in depth and started playing bars and nightclubs( e.g.- the elbow rooms, warehouse, all nations, blue coyate, northern lights, creation, leeds uni stylus, the mine, bar noir, club icon, club society, brixton acadamy and many more in and out of town gigs...) im a resident and member of of invisible circle, northern hostility, t.d.p. and fresh jive.ive played alongside national and international dj's and acts(dj premier,the alkaholiks,rahzel,dj js1, mario, ne-yo, donald-d, alieness, rob life, dj timber, t-breaks, tst, ruckspin, mighty crown, ras kwame, klashnekoff, dj sinical, scratch perverts, braintax, breaking the illusion, zero 7 and more). plus open mic nights (including my own lab sessions in wakefield and the legendary urban mondays nights feat yorkshire terrierz and the finest leeds/west yorks artists) and have been a judge for the battlescars mc battles. also performing at festivals( e.g. leeds and london carnival dj sets, hate music love rascism events and breeze festival) and radio presenting including community and licensed radio production and training. music is part of my soul. the art of turntablism and rocking the crowd is what i do best. im a heavy collector of ol'skool,electro breaks, u.k. and u.s underground/independent hip hop plus being very eclectic nd versitile supporting a wide range of beats from jazz, elevator music, funk and motown, neo soul, rnb, liquid funk dnb, funky house, dubstep, grime, nu groove,).. i attended the music college where i attained a btec in dj technology and also an level 1 and 2 in music production. my first beats were made using cubase and now have elevated to using reason and fruityloops. i started to like making beats and as a dj developing my production style under the name lounge lab. i've worked with lots of different artist including'yorkshire terrierz, j-bravo, big boom records, double d dagger, t.d.p., norty, l.p., my crews northern hostility and invisible circle plus other gifted artists. my style is that real true essence of hip hop and is pretty much the same vibe as what i play and listen too, alot of jazzy style joints, uplifting, mellow and speaker banger tracks but essentially keeping it raw and organik whilst still being versitile and making beats for rnb, funky house and dubstep artists. im collabarating and always looking to link up and work with likeminded turntablists/d.j.s m.cs and producers who just love good music and the elements of hip hop.. ive finished my first turntable album project called SOUND ELEMENT which is all composed from kuts, beat juggling and layerd scratches(inspired by the x-men,q-bert and d-styles,mixmaster mike and the beat junkies). i'm starting work on vol.2 which will feat myself and other turntablist dj's... for a full list of upcoming and existing projects, also to drop me any demos or for collaborating contact me at [email protected] love to everyone......peaceMyspace Backgrounds
