The deadline for registering to vote in Nevada is October 7th, if you mail in a voter registration application. You may register to vote in-person between October 8th and October 17th at every county’s registrar of voters.

If you have specific questions regarding voting you can find more information here .

If you have not registered yet, you can download a voter registration form. The form will tell you how to fill it out and where to mail it as well.

Information on Clark County voter registration locations can be found here .

In 2004 only 38% of eligible voters between the age of 18 and 24 voted, the lowest percentage turn-out by age category in Nevada by 5%.

In demographic age groups, the 18-24 was the lowest voting turnout (38%) only behind the 75+ age group. But unlike the 75+ group, the 18-24 category has nearly twice as many eligible voters as the 75+.

If you find these demographic voting trends disturbing, you can do something about it. Register to vote. Talk to your friends, make your voice heard. Vote.

I’m looking to network with people who don’t just sit back and let everyone else make their decisions for them. If you think for yourself and express your opinions, right or wrong, and you make your voice heard and know the value of the right to vote then we have a lot in common. If that sounds like you and you’re going to be 18 by the next big election on November 7, 2006, then vote, you will feel better after casting your vote, even if you don’t “win.” It’s cool and pretty easy, too. If you want to mail in your registration papers, then go to the links above, you’ve got to mail them in by October 7. If you want to register in person, just find the registrar's office closest to you and register before October 17, 2006, there are links to all the information posted above.
