About Me

Brandon "OneNine" Singleton started his career as a musician in high school playing the piano and guitar. OneNine graduated from Broadmoor High School as an early graduate at the age of 16. Also starting his college career at LSU at the age of 16, OneNine studied music with his concentration being piano. At the age of 17 he took his talents and musical education and put them towards music production and recording. Early on he worked solely with rapper producing songs such as "Knock 'Em Out" (by various rappers), "Supa Sick" (by various rappers in Easy Town), and songs heard mainly within the community. As a producer, many noted that his ear for mixing and arranged vocals stood out from the many local producers in Baton Rouge. His beats were catchy and maintained originality among other Baton Rouge style rap beats. Another thing worth noting is OneNine's lack of a conventional "studio" setup. He would simply set up his equipment (which includes an Dell laptop, a Bluebird condenser microphone, an Mbox audio interface, and Fruity Loops) at the artist's house and record on the fly while still producing better music than that of some of the more standard studios come up with. After honing his skill at recording rap artists, OneNine then ventured into the world of R&B production. As a producer of R&B music, OneNine has been known for his ear for vocal arrangements with harmonies (something the few people in the local music world do well). He is known for clear, accurate and artistic uses of harmonies in his R&B recordings. His studies at LSU prove to be very useful as the backbone of his musical talents. Currently, OneNine is working on a VERY MAJOR mixtape project entitled "Up Next." Here are what some of the featured artists are saying about the project:Young GageIL Duce:CiTiBoIJosh Gates
