Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together. ~

About Me

I was born in Baltimore, MD on a cold winter day in 1963. Lived there until I was about 10 or 11 and then my family moved to Savannah, GA, where I grew up. After high school, I started working in radio at WCHY where I stayed for about 10 years. Then I moved on to Oldies 98.3 (WGCO) where I stayed for about 3 years. Then I made the move into TV and became Promotions Director at WTGS FOX 28. The station merged with WJCL (ABC)and I became Promotions Director for both stations. Then I got the call from New Orleans, moved here in 1997 to be Creative Services Director at WUPL UPN 54. Other jobs include Promotions/Production/Public Service Director at WPXL (PAX 49) and, until that bitch Katrina, Corporate Support Account Executive at WYES (PBS). I'm now back at WPXL as the Traffic Manager.Personally...married for 20 years...one son, who is a freshman at Tulane University (Psychology Major), and who I'm very proud of.

Music:

I like pretty much anything and everything. I have cd's ranging from Frank Sinatra and Conway Twitty to The Eagles and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Techno does have a tendency to make my stomach cramp, however. Anything with lots of cowbell always sounds good to me!

Movies:

Field of Dreams, Anchorman, all Austin Powers movies, Shawshank Redemption, Dodgeball, all of Kevin Smiths Movies (Clerks I & II, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, etc.) , All of the Christopher Guest ad-lib movies (Best In Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, et al), ...blah, blah, blah..

Television:

Dirty Jobs, Family Guy, King of the Hill, and I shamefully admit to a bizarre interest in Flavor of Love (How many Jerry Springer hoochie rejects ARE there in the world?). Should I mention Doc & Sue Thomas? Probably, but I don't think I will.

Question for the Ages

So, Matthew officially started classes at Tulane today.  Here's what I don't get...how did he get to be almost 19 years-old already when I stayed 25?

The word for today is CHANGE

Well, here is my first blog.  Maybe my last...who knows?  I just had some thoughts on my long drive home from Savannah about how all of the things in my life, all of these major events that ...
