About Me

The best anagram for my name is "Walrus-Like."
You Are 72% Pure
You're pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that.
You do have a devilish side though... and it will probably get the better of you.

My Interests

Taking things apart and fixing them, Riding my bicycle everywhere, and also bike repair. Designing little presents, finding things in the trash, road trips, diners, making things, greeting strangers, non-aggressive driving, poking sea anemones, wild berries, fireworks, states that sell fireworks, senses of humor, the cities of Detroit, Utica, and San Francisco, cake, cake-making, good color combinations, and so on.

I'd like to meet:

Soon, my newest station wagon will wash up on the shores of New Jersey. As soon as that happens, and the jellyfish and sea anemones are shooed away, I will be ready for roadtrips. Trip to Memphis for fried chicken? Okay! Trip to Detroit for breaking things? That is okay as well. Trip to Virginia for pleasant weather? Yes-siree! I am open to suggestions.

Music:

Sometimes I think thet The Steve Miller Band is very underrated. I just learned of Suicide, and have been giving them a listen, and the Cramps are making a comeback thru my headphones. Hmmm. Other recent and not-so recent favorites: T-Rex, Mott the Hoople, Talking Heads, Narthex, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Mountain Goats, Guided by Voices, His Name is Alive, and many many more.

Movies:

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, UHF, Raising Arizona, Cartoons by Pijotr Sapegin, Paul Fierlinger, Aiju Salminen, Don Herztfeldt, Sean McBride, Christy Karacas, Richard Condie, Peter Foldes, George Griffin, and several others.

Television:

The Secret Life of Machines. Junkyard Wars is the only reality show for me.

Books:

Old Science Textbooks, Books with diagrams, Books with transparencies, home-made comic books, I like book reccommendations as well, so if you have any suggestions...

Heroes:

Masters of Time and Space.

I'm very much alive!

I'm so tired that posting a blog sounds like a good idea!     Just a quick note to let you know that I survived the 45km ride around Annecy Lake yesterday, and the 60km ride from Annecy...
