Hennesie was born and raised in the birth place of Reggae and Dancehall, Montego Bay, Jamaica. He came from a musical background, which led him to start singing at the age of five. His love for all music ranges from classical to hardcore rap, but his true love is Dance Hall Music. All his lyrics are original and each have a message behind his gyrating beats.Hennesie has been a sought after Dance Hall Artist for the past ten years in the Dance Hall underground scene. His following all know him as Hennesie the man who is smooth & hot at the same time. Word on the street is " he is the Dance Hall version of Elvis"; His following gave him the title of " Dance Hall King".His goal is to let the world know about Hennesie the artist who cares. Most importantly, to spread his message of " Nuff respect for God giving life n let all people dance to his music no matter de color dem skin".
Hennesie has performed with platinum recording artist Beanie Man in Syracruse in 1994. He opened for the major recording artist Merciless and Lady Saw just to name a few. He was in the All Star show during the years from 1991- 1995 in Manhanttan and the Bronx. In 1993, Dough E Fresh trophied him as the best upcoming underground Dance Hall artist. Two years later Queen Latifa trophied him for the same title.He performed at various college venues including Lehman College, SUNY and K State in Kansa City. Night Clubs include Act III, The Caribbean Sunset, Chris's Place, Nios and many more. One of his most memorable performance was with Sugar Bear in Washington Square Park and Fort Green Park.In France, his music is being spun by a local DJ, Daddy Nutty. A local band in Germany played his lyrics with his permission from the year 2002-present. The Rose Record Label had Hennesie host a weekly Dance Hall Music show on a Bronx cable network where he sang a new song every two weeks in the year 2000
